New World

Upside-down trees swingin' free,
Busses float and buildings dangle:
Now and then it's nice to see
The world — from a different angle.

Last night, while I lay thinking here,
Some whatifs crawled inside my ear
And pranced and partied all night long
And sang their same old Whatif song

If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer . . .
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire,
For we have some flax golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

~Shel Silverstein

Meaning everywhere

Step out the front door like a ghost
Into the fog where no one notices
The contrast of white on white.
And in between the moon and you
The angels get a better view
Of the crumbling difference between wrong and right.
I walk in the air between the rain
Through myself and back again
Where? I don't know

NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Robert Frost

What's it mean to me?
Life is change. Life is short.

So many great things happening this summer!

"What are they? Tell me!", says the imaginary voice who really wants to know. :)

Alright. I'll tell it to you.

A friend is coming to visit me from far, far away
and we're going to the beach for the weekend to play!
I'll be 29 on the 29th and she'll be 30 on the 30th!
YAY!

Alas! I'm taking a class!
with 4 fun friends!
I'm taking a Letterpress Printing Course at U of the Arts in Philadelphia.
We will be working on two projects. The first is a two-color print where we set the type, lock up the press and operate the Vandercook printing press! The second project is a Collaborative Book Project: Collections. How cool is that?!

In June the whole creative team at work is going on a surprise adventure!

I'm really so excited!
We're going to do all kinds of really fun stuff - transportation provided!

We're gonna paint a picture on a wall.
We're gonna have a ball.
Another fun one in june is a mural that we're painting as part of a work community service day. My co-workers are going to do all kinds of clean-up, painting and repair. I am heading up the mural project! We have to focus on "what do you want to be." :) Still researching styles and thinking of concepts with my team. www.northerhome.org

I'm going to climb Longs Peak,
even if I get stranded there for a week,
my little knees are hurty,
i want to call the doctor something dirty.
We're going to do a lot more than see Ween and the Flaming Lips in July. We're going to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, climb Longs Peak, drive Trail Ridge Road and do a white water trip! wicked cool! i'm itinerizing now. i'm also going to go ultralight.

A century ride to reach the beach (and raise money for MS).
Refinery is sponsoring a MS bike ride in September. can't wait!
